ABSTRACT

The main aim of this project is to develop a panel which can be mounted on the train’s dashboard so that the motorman gets live status of the upcoming nearest signal. The driver can take precautionary action well before in time. If he overlooks the signal, in case of RED signal, the train will be brought to a halt automatically.

THE PROPOSED SYSTEM

We will be installing a transmitter hardware at each signal post. The hardware will continuously send the current live signal status wirelessly to a certain extent.

There will be another hardware installed in the panel of the engine which will receive this wireless data if in the range. It will display the signal on the panel itself by illumination respective LEDs.

Also the system can automatically take action in case of red signal by stopping the train if the driver fails to do so.
